it's brand new to me, all those planets and creatures and horizons! i haven't seen them yet, not with these eyes. and it is gonna be fantastic!

I feel like so many women in this business don’t speak truthfully about what they put in their body. They’re, like, ‘I eat pizza all the time and I don’t work out!’ It’s, like, no. You’re a twig. You’ve got an eating disorder and you’re not talking about it. For me, I got to a point where I was, like, wait a second. I care more about the size of someone’s brain than the size of their ass. So why should I care if someone is looking at me and judging the size of my bum over my brain? If you work hard enough and you’re not a jerk, people will hire you for your talent over the fact that you’re super skinny. Because there are moments when you need to step up and be, like, ‘Embrace your reality, dude. You got to this place; now you need to start acting like it or people will walk all over you.

Let’s talk about GoT. One report said women are 40 percent of the audience. That female viewership might be surprising, given our attitudes about who’s typically into watching fantasy. I love that so many women watch the show. If you look at Game of Thrones on face value—blood, tits, dragons, swearwords—you’re like, oh, this must be for guys. But if you take that away, the story lines are fascinating depictions of the struggle for power. And women are in on that conversation! – Emilia Clarke for Glamour US (May 2016)

I think as a woman it’s in our nature to nurture someone else. Sometimes at the expense of ourselves.

“It’s the difference between being an idealist and being a realist. I think the best leaders are a heavy mixture of both, and so while there might be some questionable tactics, you need to make a choice and stick with it. [Daenerys’] choice is the freedom of those in slavery, and getting back to her rightful place on the throne, so that she can administer as much good [as possible] and even out the enormous gap between the rich and the poor, at the sacrifice of herself as a person.” – Emilia Clarke for World Screen (October 2015) x

“I am a bit [ scared of fame]. I like my life and couldn’t imagine anything changing. I am very close to my family in England. My brother is my best friend and my father gives the best advice. Alongside Game of Thrones, I’m making film after film at the moment, so I miss my family.” – Emilia Clarke

  8. jonsnows:

“Style, for me, means a lot of things. It’s self-expression,” she muses.“I think I am very fortunate to be in a position where what I do is so creative that it inspires my own personal style, be it in the sofa I get for my house, or the bright pink mental shoes I want to put on my feet or even in the way I cut my hair.“I think a lot of the social media that we have at the moment are really exciting platforms to have at your fingertips. Instagram, Pinterest…all these brilliant things allow you to have a constant stimulus of creativity that can add to your own natural style.“The key to style, in my eyes, is being able to have as many influences as possible, to broaden your horizons. You can shock yourself about what you are actually attracted to, what makes you happy and what puts a smile on your face,” she finishes.” Emilia Clarke On Badass Roles, Inner Strength And Bumble Bees
